Hi CH

I may be wrong but I think he is asking where the listed "Haldi's Takeaway" Spice Mix is used in the actual Vindaloo recipe.

Meaning ast gives the spice mix ingredients in his post, but it doesn't appear to be actually used in his recipe. ???

Any updates on this then CA?

Hi Ray

You probably do this anyway, but I find the best thing to use, to help pass the base through a sieve (I use a Stainless one) is the bottom of a ladle.
Makes it really quick and easy.

Sorry George, but you sound like my Dad (in his 80's), he still thinks it costs about a quid to go to a football match these days. ;D

60 quid is really good value for a days tuition these days, not surprisingly, as everyone else seems to think.

Hi Martin
Thanks for the link  ;)
But I defo don't need any more new pans :-\
A new blast furnace hob and a new pair of Jeans maybe, these ones seem to have shrunk lately :o

cheers ChewyTarka

Hi Chewy

Didn't have you in mind when posting, I know you've got enough pans already mate. ;)

Just there seemed to be a renewed interest in people wanting Alu pans, after C2G was offering them for sale.

Thought it was a good price and from a major reputable seller in Amazon, so might be of use to some

Hi folks

To save cluttering the C2G thread up any further, discussing pans) If anyone is interested I just found these on Amazon.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ipac-Grandi-Cuochi-Aluminium-Fry/dp/B0052WSA08/ref=sr_1_14?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1326129131&sr=1-14

26cm though, some may say to be very slightly on the big size, but cheaper (by more than 2 quid) than the 24cm which is also on offer.

I can recommend here, as I bought from them myself.

http://www.dadibhais.com/index.php/kitchen/cookware/frying-omelette-pans.html?SID=bb93aff8506727848903d6dbc31c1fed

There is a one off postage charge of ?5.95 (Plus, please note VAT has to be added to it all), so will obviously make it worthwhile ordering a few things from there.

Along with an Alu pan, I bought several different length Serving (Chefs) spoons, balti dishes and a Tawa from there.

Martin

To be clear, I didn't buy anything from cheapchefsclothing.co.uk.
