@ CA,
A good post and one that I believe sums up the feelings of most people when it comes to catering and entertaining friends and family, be they vegetarians or of different religions.

Here, here.  Can we now move on please and do what this site does best  (although just occasionally the discussion gets derailed) - talk about the one thing that brought us all here in the first place -  our love of BIR food and our search to perfect our skills and knowledge.

thanks for sharing that with us Leroyb.   Looks like a tikka bhuna to me and very nice too.  A couple of things that strike me is the addition of some ingredient from another pot just at the end of the cooking process.  Could that possibly be the equivalent of Ashoka banjarra?  Interesting to hear what others think on this.  Secondly, the gravy thickness is not that runny :-\.  Almost the consistency of thin tomato ketchup ;D

Sadly, CTM as a dish does nothing for me at all but it has to be part of one's repertoire since it is so popular with many.  But those pics sure have got me salivating  :P.  I look forward to reading all participants reports and the end result  :D.  I'm sure I'll have to cook one again at some stage.  Appreciate the effort that all participants put in to these group tests for the benefit of us all.  Keep up the good work.  ;D

Welcome Louise.  God, no decent curry for 3 years :o  . Now that is pretty damn serious.  It is probably the greatest incentive of them all to get stuck in to the content of this site and start producing quality BIR dishes.  Good luck and enjoy your results.  Keep us posted on how things are going. :D

Thinking of trying this base next, don't have the book yet the postage will probaby cost more to get here than the book,

I'm sure Abdul would be happy to provide it in pdf format for you to avoid extortionate postage costs ;D.  One can but ask the man ::)

Having made the same dish tonight, "Garlic Chili Chicken" that I made on Saturday but with Abdul's base tonight, I can honestly say that it was lovely :)

That looks the absolute dogs b******s 976bar ;D.  I will be trying abduls base once i've tried CT's and garlic chilli chicken is definitely on the menu :P
