Yep nice video Mick, just been looking through your you tube channel

http://www.youtube.com/user/CURRYHOLIC1#p/u

You got some nice vids there your a really lucking boy getting into bir kitchens, good work.

Cheers UB.

Cheers UB,

Some might call it luck :D but it also cost a lot of money buying loads of curries from the same place and befriending the owner and then asking the question "can I watch the chef cook my curry?", This place was ok with it and the videoing but I've had most say no to being videoed even if they have been happy enough for me to be in the kitchen,

Cheers,
Mick

Hey Mick,

This may seem a bit cheeky but is there any chance you will be able to ask your local chef of his naan dough recipe,
I'm hoping to have my new tandoori oven built in a couple of months and a bir naan recipe would probably give me
legendary status!!

Cheers UB.

Its sad times people, morn with me...

The Tandoori Oven has now been condemned to rubble

Damp has compromised the insulation and now it just takes too long to heat up to a good working temp ie 400 degrees C and its not holding the temp for long enough.

RIP friend we had fun, all thous lost naans and arm hairs!!  :'(

But don't feel down hearted fellow Cr0'sers UB's Tandoori Oven V2 is on its way to a garden near you [mine] with Mods ;)

ill keep you posted  :)

Better clarify my reply.
No I don't give a hoot who serves me. I don't care who the cook is either. What matters is that the Chef is classically trained in providing what I like to eat. Nothing more, nothing less.

I have many friends from different cultures and creeds. It matters not.

Yep Matters not.

But would you be happy being served by non-Asians

Yes and i have been. Monsoon Valley Restaurant
92 High Street, Chatham

Has on weekends white Caucasian waitresses, no probs with that all good dining there.

Don't think it'll much better [if at all] then your usual method CA just not hot enough.

The only other way Ive thought about before building a tandoor is to buy a el-cheepo electric oven from B&Q [or get my hands one on being thrown out] and disconnecting the regulator thermostat and safety stat, that would get hot enough i reckon.
