The practice is probably less common in BIRs today..

Yes, it's certainly less common than it was in the 1970s which may be why many people think tastes have changed (for the worse),.

Has anyone sourced any good background music from the web, or identified a good CD.

I've been recording anything which sounds like the kind of Indian music played at Indian restaurants for several years now. But nothing like the dross posted by Garp.

I can totally imagine him lurking here under some other persona.

I fear you are right and, as he's probably becoming more desperate, I suggest we need to be on high alert.

Lol, George I hit the "report to moderator" button.  But nice try to cover your tracks.

Reporting a post to yourself? Really? Did you also use that facility to report the troll known as Sverige when he insulted me in post #17 on the thread about the legality of bircurries? I doubt it..

You say CA has failed with his forum George,  but you also mentioned that you have been a member there under a different name and it seems that you

No offence to the refugees, but do we need to be berating another forum on this one? I don't think that this forum is the place for the recently released hostages to be venting their anger at their former captor.

I disagree. He brings it upon himself. It was an object lesson on how not to run a forum, just like Andy's realcurryrecipes or whatever it was called, which went before. These people don't have a clue and both have failed. Your comment is a bit like saying it shouldn't be allowed to criticise Hitler, whereas the opposite applies in that it's illegal to express support. Perhaps it should be disallowed to express any support for CA here,

              I believe it is rshome123.

Regards pap rika.

Many thanks. Why does he have so many identities? That said, my ID on bircurries is different or I wouldn't have been allowed in. Yes, I recall rshome123 on here. I was going to buy the volume 1 kindle edition but decided that because I'm interested in only a few recipes, I may as well just write them down from the youtube videos. There's a lot of effort gone into the book and video channel but why? I doubt if he'll make very much and maybe the R&D and just making (and eating) so many curries to video is not good for his health.

Nobody congratulating one of this forum's greatest contributors?

What is his user name, please?
