Been away for a while, but back now, with my korma recipe (for 'err indoors) and this, my favourite jalfrezi for moi!!

(About to look up what to do with a couple of aubergines-maybe a brinjal bhaji??)

Chris,
Can you put a link to both original recipes on here.

In my opinion you won't go wrong using coryanders base recipe. I've personally made most of the 'popular' bases on this forum, and CA's is very hard to beat.

Everyone has different tastes though, so you may prefer a different one, so I suggest making a few to soba comparison
Remember, they all freeze very well!

Just to let you all know I have frozen/defrosted this sauce, and it's as good as fresh!!

Handy to have some small pots in the freezer!

I just notice the video upload and thought i would inform you all, but been beaten to it-again!

One comment I have is he needs a password to enter his account, so hopefully he is around, and realises the interest in his vids, and adds some more(fingers crossed)

Good question B, I wondered the same.
His curries are not at all BIR, but he's done a lot to promote cooking curry at home here in the uk over the years, and his video seems to show good presenting skills IMO. He seems an ok bloke to me.
Looking at his website, his India cooking tours look like fun.
If my 6 numbers come up I would definitely give it a go

Would this be right, or is it an enitely different recipe? My new local nor does one and it's top notch. Vindaloo hot but u can really taste the chillies.

Madras / Re: CA's Chicken Madras

Good luck mack, personally I find although I agree it smells and tastes awesome, I think it's debateable weather it makes much difference to a finished curry.
Also I found it takes longer than an entire curry to make!
Would maybe be good made with olive oil for bread dipping though!

I was a massive fan of ghee, until I heard on 'Saturday kitchen' it is 5 x more unhealthy than veg oil.
Kinda put me off a bit
Still tastes the best IMO
