Pictures of Your Curries / Abdul's Dynamite Chicken
October 03, 2011, 09:37 PM
Well, here are the pics.  Mine turned out a lighter colour than the one Abdul posted.  I put this down to the chicken tikka marinade residue as this is what i used rather than just cooked chicken.  A nice hot curry and not for the faint hearted

Well, I'm still alive and can now feedback on the dish :D.   Yes it is very hot by most peoples standards and quite tasty.  The initial hit comes from the green and red chillis which get the lips and mouth going :P.  Then the black pepper kicks in provding that creeping heat which becomes intense and is different from chilli heat.  You'll be pleased to hear i shed a tear or two and the nose ran :'( :'(.  There were no hiccups or sweating which is always a sign of a really hot curry for me.  Alas, very few curries manage to do that for me :(.  How does it rank against Curry Hell?  It has a long way to go to get anywhere near the heat.  But for anybody who likes a hot tasty curry i would recommend Dynamite chicken.  Thanks for posting Abdul.  I've posted pics in the pictures section of the forum 8)

Welcome to possibly the best BIR library around  :D.  And there's no shortage of us "wanna be" BIR chefs to help out and advise if we can  ;D

Hello fisherman.  8 spice is Abdhul's mix powder (containing 8 different spices in varying quantities)

Hi Ifindforu.  I read the thread on your base a little while ago and from the reports I decided i must give it a go, along with several other bases ;D.  I now have only two more i want to try before i get to yours.  I will now hang fire in light of your revised recipe coming out.  I look forward to all being revealed, as i am sure many others are ;).
Good work

or is the phal realy the hottest typical dish to be found in the world?

I have an authentic recipe in one of my books which isn't for the faint hearted apparently.  I'll dig it out and post it.  i would think it must be available since it's authentic rather than a restaurant creation just for us chilliheads ;D

Curryhell - i will give them a taste test later today! However we eat green chilies all the time out here just as they are.

We are lucky enough to dry the chilies in the sun and with drying there are always hundreds of seeds that come out - I take the seeds and slightly grind them in a pestal and mortar - add some of this to a dish for a real explosion in heat!!!

What i have noticed that some chili seeds are hotter than others but when all ground together - they're HOT

best, Rich

I wish we had the weather over here to do the same Rich.  Unfortunately they are more likely to drown rather than dry :).  I am tempted to deseed some dried red ones though.  That must be one hell of a hit :o :o :o
