Frank, thanks for the feedback. The image host seems to be working fine, you just seem to be missing the image name in your links.

For instance: https://curry-recipes.co.uk/imagehost/pics/321ca1e5aff398e5a51c7f3f9dd8d0c6.jpg

That is just a random image I found on there. No idea whose it is.  ;D

I'd be very interested to know everyone's thoughts on these recipes when you get around to giving them a go. I can't justify another book at the moment, but if the feedback is positive then I'll probably buy a copy.

Have to agree with Phil here. The end dish looks lovely, but the naans in isolation don't look, well, much like naans. They look like pittas that have been done under the grill. I am sure it tastes lovely, but they don't look the part.

Haven't you already made a thread for this?

It should be 3-4 Tablespoons of oil.

Lol,

I should start this thread again really- without mistakes!!

Matt

I would just edit your original post, Matt. Should be a 'Modify' button/link at the top right of the post.

I personally think CA's recipes are the perfect starting points for people new to the site, purely for the fact that they are clearly documented and produce good results.

Looks fantastic Solar!

I was put off from doing this recipe as the book warns you that patience is required. I think you've convinced me to give it a whirl. Having done a couple of the CTMs from the group test, I'd forgotten how much I enjoy a good CTM!  :)

What have people used for the food colouring? I have this, but 0.5 tsp seems an awful lot.

HI Ramirez
If you think 0.5 tsp is a lot, just have a look at how much Dipuraja uses in his videos.Crikey. :o :o

Blimey, I see what you mean. Although if you only have one chef's spoon of masala sauce per portion it probably doesn't equate to too much.

The food colouring looks like the real thing, but 0,5tsp is going to be massive overkill, IMHO.  I would recommend scaling it down and using your eye to judge when to stop.
** Phil.

Yeah, I think I'll just cut it back quite a bit. Would be nice to follow the recipe exactly, given this is for the group test, but it's obviously not going to affect the taste.

bigboaby, it may be worth submitting your recipe to the 'base recipes' section of the site. That way it is more likely to get exposure. Also, can you expand on the method?
