HMP Hewell near Redditch, Worcesteshire. The old house Hewell Grange (formerly owned by the Earl of Plymouth) is probably the poshest nick you'll ever see! :)

My local open prison believe it or not! The lags grow amazing veggies and sell them far too cheaply in their own on site farm shop. Last summer they had massive aubergines 50p each. A bag of 5-6 peppers including some interesting white and purple ones cost me ?1. Purple sprouting and curly Kale just a couple of quid per kilo. Leeks as thick as your wrist. They had fresh asparagus the other day ?2 per kg which is insanely cheap. Everythings cheaper and better quality than the supermarkets and greengrocers. They also produce their own pork and beef. A little know local gem. Sad thing is most of the people I have told don't bother with it because it's not Tesco and therefore not convenient enough.

If it's a smokey flavour your after try Jeeves and Jericho 'smokey Russian caravan' which contains lapsang souchong. All their teas smell absolutely mind blowing.

Awesome. I love curry goat and will try this version next. You should try Tan Rosie mild curry powder in your Caribbean dishes. They do lots of other products online. Well worth a look if you want a really authentic flavour.

New one on me. Is this what TAs are doing?

I tried making bhajis with grated potato once and probably wouldn't bother again. However, a generous amount of finely shredded spinach in the mix is well worth trying IMO. It goes lovely and crispy as well as adding another flavour dimension.

All the best

Thanks Bob. I cannot seem to find it though. I am intrigued by this orange. Can you please put up a link?

Thanks

Hi

I may try this soon. Just wondered if anyone else has tried it and what their thoughts were?

These look great Bob. They look like they've got that lovely texture that I find difficult to create aswell as a lovely rich colour. Can I ask what your recipes are including the base recipes please?

Thanks

Mike
