Welcome Roida, I have tried but found it a little overpowering, but maybe that was just the brand I used.
Maybe add it to your mix powder instead

Naga, MT, definately worth having a crack at this, the beautiful hot sweet and sour flavours come through a treat. Just stick to jb's recipe and technique, nice and easy proper bir curry. :)

Pathia / Re: chicken tikka pathia from the takeaway

Managed to get in the kitchen tonight and cooked up this.
After never really ordering a pathia, yet having a taste of one 2 weeks ago, I wasnt sure what to expect.
I followed the recipe to the letter, I used jb base and a chewy mix powder, cooked on high heat all the way.
Absolutely spot on , tasted exactly like my mates pathia the other week, a resounding success, hot sweet and sour as it should be.
Loved the fact its an easy uncomplicated curry just needing cooking in the correct way.
Thanks for sharing jb

Had to turn it off by the time the curry leaves went in, was completely bored and his monotone voice was grating on me.

Just been in the bath has the mustard seeds started popping yet

Nope they are still sat bored to death and not sizzling

The wife is already going berserk ! I have claimed a drawer in the freezer already.

Ha the addiction has begun, freezer drawers, seperate cupboard for spices etc, seperate cupboard for blenders, grinders etc , slowly you will take over the kitchen.
