Plus you don't want to eat prawn Sh*t  hehe ;)
Particularly if you have seen said prawns feeding off the corpse of a drowned sailor in Hong Kong Harbour, as happened to a friend of mine during WW II.  He said he would never eat a prawn again having seen that -- apparently the entire corpse was covered in feeding prawns ...

** Phil.

We should feed them on curry sauce then they'd be self marinading haha ;D ;D

QuoteTotally agree with you there, and as Phil say's "Devein" them first otherwise they can sometimes be a bit bitter...

I also bought 5 bulbs garlic for ?1.50 in an asian store recently as well. Truth be known they were a little bit old, but for that price.... :o

Aren't they about 30p a bulb in the supermarkets, albeit smaller than what you typically get from a grocer?

Must be going to the wrong supermarket, as i've been paying going on a quid for two, albeit prepackaged not loose. DOH!!

Anybody know where the recipe ingredients, as stated in the video, are on Julians site?

Martin

As far as I have ever seen, he's only got a couple of recipes written down on his website. Video only as far as I can see :(

Lets Talk Curry / Onion prices!!

Any newcomer joining the curry making revolution will obviously notice the volume of onions we're getting through. It's easy to get mislead into paying over the top prices.  The 3 large onions in the onion bag are about a quid now in supermarkets yet loads cheaper in asian stores.

Today an indian grocer / delivery driver came into the business and mentioned he sold onoins to the takeaways and restaurants. Apparently a 10kg bag is sold for ?1.50 !!! (English and Dutch for anyone interested)

Wow, i thought i'd done well with 3kg for ?1.67 at asda :(
