Welcome to the site. If you're after the types of dishes you get in an British Indian restaurant (BIR), rather than authentic Indian cuisine, you have certainly come to the right place.

I always recommend the below recipes for people new to the site, as they produce good results and are superbly documented, therefore very easy to follow.

Base: https://curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=3772.0
Madras: https://curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=3830.0

CA also has a number of accompanying recipes for this base that can be found here: https://curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?board=3.0

Looks really nice. What Madras recipe did you use?

Also, what is that white stuff on the left?

Oh wow. This sounds very promising!  :D

Any recipes that you can share?

Final dish looks lovely and it's right up there with how hot I often like them. Will give this a go at some point.

Is the amount of oil correct - 3 chef spoons (12 tbsp)?

Great effort, Noll. Once you become familiar with the process (base, pre-cooked meat, final dish, etc.) it opens a world of opportunities. The worst bit for me, when I was starting, was acquiring all the paraphernalia (as Ray alludes to) - it's not cheap the first time you stock up on everything!

Definitely post some pics when you get the chance!  :)

Thanks for posting, Abdul.

Can you modify the recipe to use decimals rather than fractions, as the forum cannot seem to handle fractions?

Also, what is tikka masala paste?

Haha....nice find.

40kg of rice!  :o

That looks fantastic. You should post your recipe if you have the time. What base did you use and did you do anything special with the rice or is it just coloured?

Like how you've sneaked a can of Special Brew in there!  ;)

I've also had difficulty finding the Pasco jars. I even asked Spices of India whether they planned to stock them sometime in the future - they said they had never heard of them!
