Hi SM, 1lb of rice is quite a few portions, have you tried halving this recipe? I guess you could freeze the end results anyway if need be

I love green cardamom, if you split the pods and just use the seeds you dont have to worry about taking them out.
My favourite - Shahi Jeera (Royal Cumin or Black Cumin), very aromatic in pilau rice

Ive got the book myself and have tried some of the recipes, again with varying degress of success (generally in the good to excellent range though)
