Thanks for the recipe, however, it doesn't seem to use any base gravy so I think putting it in "British Indian Restaurant Recipes" was probably not the best choice.

Wow, this is probably the best layed out and best-documented recipe I've ever seen ! No I only need to convince the wife that I did not try to kill her with the last curry and I might be "allowed" to cook it this weekend.

Coming from Germany I'd be careful with vegetables and meat from discount super markets. ALDI's tomatoes, for example, stay firm and fresh for literally months (!) at home. That just can't be right ! The same goes for poultry. LIDL and ALDI both only recently banned poultry from one of Germany's largest producers, but only after a pretty bad TV show about their poor lives got aired and after all other stores had already pulled out of their supply chain.

Also looks excellent. Were you out of fresh coriander ? Appears to be very little in it, or do you prefer it that way ?

I believe I can differentiate between bitter and sour. To me, bitter is a very "dry" sort of feeling whereas sour isn't necessarily so. Taste some baking soda - that's slightly bitter. Then have just a little citric acid - that's sour (to me). I have difficulty to grasp a difference between "sour" and "acidic" (as also mentioned on Wikipedia) on the other hand.
