I agree with CA , unless the dish is a tikka dish or something specifically requiring marinading I don't bother and find the chicken cooked perfectly nine times out of ten. I have to be honest and say I've never tried the yogurt method though so I'm not knocking it .. just never been dissatisfied with it un-marinaded way.
As long as both produce great curries I don't suppose it matters much    :) ;)

Hi Chris ,

Tonight I'm making garlic chilli chicken with pilau rice and homemade chappatis ( rotis ) .

Tomorrow we've friends around so I'll do a dhansak , vindaloo , saag bhaji , and pilau after a chicken tikka starter with mint sauce ... a curry weekend me thinks is on with loads of cold Budweiser ( the real CZ stuff too )

Bring it on !!!!!       :) :)

Like 976bar I don't use salt but I do blend garlic and ginger together at a ratio of 60 / 40 , I add oil but only around 10% of volume ... funnily enough I made 0.5kg the day before yesterday and froze it in 50g containers .. it took forever though batch by batch .. not my favourite bit of curry cooking !!     :)

Wow .. thanks Dipuraja !!

My wife and I have just made this and ate the lot ... it was delicious. Everything together was fantastic .. I was dubious about the almonds and sultanas but they made the dish. I had to make the tikka and pilau rice since the freezer was empty but if these were available frozen and defrosted during the day I reckon I could knock this up as Dip did in about 5 minutes .. great for during the week !!

Thanks again .. one to have again and again   :)
