:o  Arrived this morning Michael, I really can't believe how much you have sent. :o

It is really appreciated, and am feeling a little guilty about it, so if you have a paypal address PM me it so I can at the very least pay you the postage costs.

Sincere apologies Frank, looks like I (and others) must have missed your post. 8)

I honestly came across and bookmarked it in Jan, when I was looking for GM recipes, but forgot to post a link here then.::)

If you haven't read them, the comments below the article are pretty interesting too.

Some good links to other interesting articles on there too.

Talking of dry roasting the spices, which I always do (but in a fry pan), I found this article interesting. :-\

Lets Talk Curry / Re: Freezing green peppers?
March 04, 2012, 11:24 PM
I have always frozen them raw (chopped/sliced) and haven't had any problems with them.

I wouldn't eat them defrosted raw but do cook/precook them from frozen, usually high heat stir fried I find best.

At home I think it is best to freeze them as quick as possible and from as fresh as possible.
I put a metal tray in the freezer for about half an hour, to cool right down, and then spread the chopped peppers (and whole chillies) onto the tray. Once frozen (doesn't take that long) bag them up.

sorted

eventually got round to planting some seeds today

I've planted 20 scotch bonnets, 20 cayenne and 20 finger chillis

first time planting chilli seeds so fingers crossed :)

nothing ventured, nothing gained as they say

Same here, mine went in on the 29th.
20 of each, plus a seed tray full of seeds collected from a variety of chillies.
They are all in my airing cupboard so nice and warm, so here's hoping.

I've also made a big light reflector for my bedroom windowsill, for when/if they germinate.
