Made this last night and it was lovely. Nice taste and a good amount of heat! It reminded me somewhat of a Pathia - quite sweet and sour.

Anyway, here's a pic.

Nice one guys! Sounds like it was a great day.  ;D

Great pics natterjak. Who managed to attend in the end - Chris, Solar, Natterjak, 976bar, George and Az? Is that right?

Home made or Mr Naga???  Either would be absolutely delightful  ;D.  I'm so jealous >:( >:(

I love Mr Naga. I have been known to just eat some of it off the spoon, it's that nice.  ;D

Missed this when it was first posted, curryhell.

Good work Matt and the apron is genius.  ;D I want one!  ;D

Would have been interesting if Chewy had a Korma recipe (don't think he has posted one), then comparing that (with Chewy's base) to CA's. Both of them look lovely though.

Both CA and Chewy have Jalfrezi recipes - that might be a good comparison for you to move onto next.

Think i will try Chewytikka's 3 hour one, but how do i make others from this base ?

Love Pathia's, Jalfrezi etc

And what is BIR ?

Cheers

I presume you mean how do you make the final dishes from this base. If so, Chewy has a number of accompanying recipes, most of which are in the 'video' section.

Vids: https://curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?board=21.0
Jalfrezi: https://curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=5699.0

Ray has also posted a stunning Rogan Josh that uses Chewy's base: https://curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=5950.0

Let us know how you get on.

Think i will start with Chewytikka one above, looked at the pressure cooker 1 hour but can not understand majority of it plus it does not give any quantities ?

Quantities will be the same as the 3 hour version linked above (quantities are a few posts down in the thread).

Welcome to the forum. Yep, plenty of recipes to choose from. Let us know how you get on.

Have you decided on a base to do?

Hand blender will be absolutely fine. I've used a super bargain basement one from Argos when my main one packed up and it was fine, although not as effective.

Second Phil's suggestion. The recipes from that book produce top results.

Great video Chewy!  ;D

How does it come to be that you end up in the kitchen recording a video of the boss making a curry?! Obviously not some random encounter ;D You do seem to have a pretty good relationship with them. Is this the place you've got a lot of you BIR insight from?
