Hi Wazza

I've been a member for about 5 months and i've had some great results with some of the recipies on here hope you have the same results.
Lately i've been trying dishes i wouldn't normally order and have been nicely suprised by the results so give everything a go its worth it.

It was a shop bought tandoori masalla that i used i dont use food colouring in any of my dishes don't see the point it doesn't add anything to the dish as long as the taste is there not really fussed about the colour and this was very tasty ;D

I agree with the above if you make your own dough then i usually add some garlic to the mix just before i kneed the dough that way it get into all the dough and gives flavour to the whole naan bread hope this helps

near enought followed the recipe but didn't add as much tom paste as he said so that may be why its not  as red and i used ordinary oil not spiced that may also give a darker curry

Well with the missus on the late shift I've been able to have curry every night this week  ;D, thought I'd try a vindaloo don't normally go that hot but thought what the hell i added hot chilli powder and 3 green finger chillies and with the sun out i was sweating like a good un. I tried CA's recipe but never bothered with the potato and must say it was damn tasty definitely one ill be doing again ( lets see how my arse feels in the morning  ;D )

Hi

can anyone tell me where i can get coconut powder my asian super market doesn't seem to have any and i have tried to ask them but they have limited english so can not understand me.
They do stock coconut flour would this be the same?

no problems mate i take any advise on board it all helps, the madras did go a bit tits up though i had to much on the go at the same time teach me to try and multi task  :P

the suggestions about getting rid of water i understand but it actually oil in the pic not a very good pic i know and i don't like oil either ;D

My base always comes out this colour changes at the blending stage i think it when the air gets into its the same as blending tomatoes they go a lighter sort of colour than what they are at the start thats what i think it is anyway

did have the lemon juice in it and a bit of fresh coriander tasted ok but not 1 of my best the pathia was good though ;D
