I'll have to give this a go  ;)

Re: Quick Dinner - Saag aloo

That's with fresh spinach wilted down. I've also used Morrisons frozen which was good as well. The (ibco ?) frozen spinach I got from the indian suppliers was awful.

And its boned and skinned chicken leg

And its my favourite curry ever only requiring a bit of boiled egg in it to tick all my curry boxes. (Thank you again Chewy :)  )

Re: Quick Dinner - Saag aloo

This had 2 balls of frozen but really needed some more.

I'd be interested to see what they are like. Fenwicks new food court near to me have a Raffi's Spicebox Counter, www.spicebox.co.uk, and I very nearly purchased one to try if it had'nt been for the missus hurrying me up (its usually the other way round). Quite a few people buying them though.

Looks good CAB. Another dish the missus likes although it has to have a few extra chilis added  ;)

can anyone help
I have made a chicken pathia following the recipe of misty Ricardo online its is one of the best i have tried
the only thing is that even though i am using mild chili powder it still turns out too hot
what is making it hot??

Cut down on both the amounts of chili powder (1/2 tsp each) or just omit the chili powder and leave the Kashmiri chili powder in. If its then to mild add a bit more chili powder next time you are cooking it. Its a bit trial and error discovering you heat tolerance. Some people on here are happy with korma's etc which aren't really hot and others like their curries to taste like a nuclear furnace  ;D

Yet another dish that's been on my radar  :) ......

Been on mine to try for a few years. I'm not a massive lover of lime pickle but will have a little when its on the pickle tray. I'm also trying to try dishes at the minute that I've never had as you tend to get stuck in a rut and order the same stuff. Chewy used a mixed pickle in it and to be honest it wasn't like I expected. I thought the pickle would have overpowered the whole dish a bit like Mr Naga does but it didn't. Very nice and now on my 'curries I'll happily order list'.  :)

I also forgot the 'in the pan shot' before the base went in  :-\

Murghi Achari

Well, I called into Chewy's yesterday to drop some stuff off and pick up some Pizza flour from him. As usual he's curry prepping so I kindly got the offer of a curry for lunch. Decisions, decisions but after a bit thought, one curry I've never ever had is an Achari so 15 mins later my first Achari is in the bowl and very nice it was too.   :)

Nice one Chewy thank you.

I'm going to have to do some for lunch someday and the missus won't go near pulse based dishes :(
