Well, after all the past few weeks dhansak talk and me only ever trying some when my son had it, tonight I had to join the club. Lamb Dhansak avec pineapple ( I'm firmly in the pineapple camp now) with mixed pilau and very nice it was to.  :)

Sounds like a good idea Gav will look for a good Dhansak recipe

Looks superb - I'd tuck into that

did you post the recipe any where ?

best, Rich

Here it is Rich, Not exactly my own recipe but my version is slightly different. I use 3 x tablespoons of Maggi coconut powder mixed with one cup of water to form a paste instead of the cream and half a teaspoon of chilli powder obviously depending on how hot you like it. That's why I call it my version. However if you stick to the normal recipe it's still exceptionally good whichever version you choose.

I am now curry blind ! I have tried that many curries, (madras) that I do not know what to try next. Here are a few I have tried, both base and madras, Julian Voigt, Darth Phall, Chewy Tikka and this one http://www.currytastic.com/best-chicken-madras-recipe-ever/ which for the amount of effort I found quite good.
I really enjoyed all of the recipes, however, what recipe is the Holy Grail of curries ? Surely there is a curry that is stupendous, I do not care how many ingredients are in it or how long it takes to make, I am after creating the best ever curry !

Try this Pete I just keep making this I sometimes replace the cream with 3 x TBSP of coconut powder mixed with a cup of water to form a paste , see my post in the photo section titled Butter Chicken my version. It's definitely one of my favourites. If you do make it you may want to cut back on the Chilli Powder, I would recommend 3/4 of a teaspoon obviously depending how hot you like it.

976Bar's Thai Peanut Chicken Skewers.  Very tasty and simple to make too, although they did burn a bit on my George Foreman. Perhaps oven cook is the way to go in future.

They look good enough to me Sverige
