Definitely up for this. Price seems good for what you get. Would be interested in doing a group lesson.

Nice one Chris.  :)

Curry Base Chat / Re: Saffron Base a Winner
September 23, 2011, 12:59 PM
The Saffron base was also one of my first forays into BIR cooking. It's a while since I made it but I do rate it highly. I think it's always a good idea to go back over previous recipes and the stuff you've tried before, as it can give some insight into the progress you've made (e.g. a dish you create when beginning with BIR will taste different/better after you've acquired more experience).

Lets Talk Curry / Re: Rajah or Natco

In regards to whether Natco or Rajah is better, I would say that you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the two and either one will serve you well.

Thanks.
I've always used http://www.spicesofindia.co.uk/?kw=spices%20of%20india&fl=517450&ci=3688448948&network=s&gclid=CMqC8rPbmKsCFYJO4QodKWjgWg.
Still,it dosn't hurt to look around for the cheapest.
Thanks guys

Likewise. Very good range, good price and quick delivery. I highly recommend them

Something I have started doing is to buy the 100g packs and although it might be a bit more expensive the Spices keep fresher opening a new pack as I need it rather than buy the 200g or 400g packs that once opened might start to deteriorate if like me you use a peg or rubber band to keep the pack closed  ::)

Me too - I try to maintain a reasonably high turnover of spices.  :)

Now that's what I call a good gift! Very jealous. Wish I had room for a tandoor.  :)

Not sure if anybody is familiar with it - Chicken Patalla.  common in Ireland but i've never seen it on any menu over here.  Will post this at some stage when i make it again as i forgot to take pics  was in too much of a hurry to get to the pub ;D ;D ;D

Never heard of it myself, but definitely post the recipe when you get a chance - that's if it gets good feedback, of course!  ;)
