Have you a recipe for your no oil base? I'm interested in trying it?

Cheers

Hi Geoff

Where did you get the mushroom and pea recipe from? Is that from Nathan's site as well?

Hi Geoff

This guy seems to have a lot of interesting recipes, i haven't tried many yet but i can see from the ingredients and techniques that they "should" work

Hi

I would err towards vegetarian dishes at first, beans, chickpeas and lentils etc in dhals which have plenty of protein and these are more forgiving on the body and require less acid to digest than meat and have more fibre in to keep the body functioning correctly.

Just my opnion

I think the best way is just to simmer in some base gravy for 20 mins whilst doing other prep. Enhances the base as well

Did you put foil over the grill and then put the meat on the foil or foil over the coals?

Vindaloo / Vegetarian Vindaloo
May 09, 2015, 12:41 PM
Wanted something different and as i am not eating much meat lately I decided to do a vegetarian vinadloo and came across this website

http://nathan.chantrell.net/kitchen/2011/03/aloo-gobi-vindaloo/

Theres plenty of spicy dishes on his site and although this one uses a paste there is an alternative version with whole spices. He also does a BIR version

Made it this morning to the spec and it was great
