I had one container of base sauce left in the freezer tonight and I really fancied a nice hot curry. Made myself a Vindaloo and a Korma for the OH. Went down very nice indeed.

The Vindaloo was made using a mix of dried red chillies, deggi mirch, kashmiri mirch and fresh green chillies. Using the different types really makes for a nice flavour for me. As for the Korma, well, it's just a Korma I guess.

Had this last night for my parents anniversary. Very nice indeed but there was very little left for me for breakfast, barely a snack. But I guess that's ok because there is still some base sauce in the freezer.

Thanks Mick. The recipe is the curry2go from Julian. I have never tried butter chicken in a restaurant before so I have nothing to compare it to but for me it's quite nice, and it has a little bit of heat too so it's quite different to CTM.

Thanks Geoffbrick, I was very tempting to keep testing them but I did manage and they really enjoyed all of the curries, including the vindaloo which was a surprise as they haven't had one before and they didn't even seem to break out into a sweat, must have been too mild for them heheheheh. I hope you manage to recover all your photos.

Thanks Al. I did just sample a little of each but it was so hard not to sample them a little more later. Knowing that they are lurking in the fridge means I really have to show a lot of self restraint.

I must say that after cooking I wasn't that hungry but leaving for just a little while the craving soon comes back so it was fortunate that I had some tikka left or it would have been cornflakes or something.

Thanks Naga, I just hope they don't like the vindaloo too much so that there is some left for tea.

I have my parents coming over tomorrow in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary. They asked me if I could make a few curries for them so I made these today.
