It's ok DP wasn't accusing you of ignoring me, actually asking you to ignore my post as it seemed you were correct. ;)

Ah well, each to their own.  My wife and I were certainly impressed, and neither of us would have described the sauce as "a lightly spiced tomato soup".

** Phil.
Interesting, can I ask how you would describe the sauce Phil?

Now, as I had only eaten a tin of Lidl's tomato soup the day before, and haven't had the Piri Piri before, that is all I can honestly say it reminded me of.
Agree chicken was fine though. ;)

Sorry Phil, tried one for the first time myself, as they were on offer (weekend only), what a disappointment.

Well unless you like a half chicken covered in, what I can only describe as tasting like, a lightly spiced tomato soup. :(

Sadly not everyone can afford to buy free range, organic or in bulk.

Hi Adam

Did you use 300ml of base, as per the recipe?
With that much base you should have had plenty of sauce IMO.

Sorry but that is having it posted outside the UK
I honestly can't understand why you still bought just those few items knowing the cost of the postage to Ireland. :-\
They didn't force you to buy them did they?

Would have cost ?35 within UK, maybe not that cheap for those few bits, but obviously works out cheaper the more you buy.
