Not sure I would go that far but I have spotted at least once, a poster who could have been open about who they really were.

That is not really an option in this case though as I presume, whilst they every 'right' to apply and join, their experience may not be, err, comfortable, if found out (as long as they don't post... tempting as that might be).

Welcome A Board Smurfbir

The only advice I might give is to read all the comments to any given recipe over the months/years as sometimes the nuggets are in the replies that suggest a different base/spice mix or single product.

Lets Talk Curry / Re: What Mint?

I also bought a supermarket pot of Mint a few years ago, not sure which supermarket.

I have a hanging basket in my front doorway, south facing, watered daily and fed once per week during late spring through late autumn and the mint is in a 'planter' (approx 36in/100cm x 12in/30cm x 12in/30cm deep) directly below.  It has flurished every year and was a welcome place for one of my cats to 'sleep' during the cooler months between Autumn and Spring.

I am hoping for a better year for my Garlic this year.  Last year was disastrous following 'The Beast from the East' and then the long hot dry summer.  I was going to try to grow some oregano this year but I am too late now I think.

Welcome folks, dictatorship free zone.

Regards pap rika.

Indeed, welcome or welcome back to you all.

On a side note, I would have been interested to know if Intellectual Property Rights transferred to the 'other' forum owner once recipes/contributions were posted, in which case he gets them for free.  However, if that was NOT in the Terms and Conditions, then they may have effectively 'stolen' your property.  Would be hard to tell now and even if you did pay, to log in to check, likely they have or will add it if they see this comment.

Welcome A Board.

It would seem that money talks and one of the seven wonders of the world wal..... isn't worth saving.

Sorry, just how I read it, I am not a marine biologist so I don't know the full impact of this but at a time when 'global warming'' is being implicated for the warming seas which ARE killing great sections of the reef, this is not going to help.

Lets Talk Curry / Re: Most often cooked

Some 30 years ago, I had only seen Onion Bhaji and Samosa on the Menu (plus a main dish).

After a night out with colleagues, one took me to his local 'Asian' Restaurant where he insisted on ordering for us both, I am glad he did.
Over the next few years. we experimented with many 'local' (walking distance of the town centre) Take away/Cafe's but never really found dishes that were as good.

I don't have a 'sweet tooth' and so have never had a 'dessert' dish,

I posted the topic and so I feel I should comment, since I have an opinion.

Would the planet be better off with less humans (half or a third), yes.
Can I define "sustainable" energies, not really, (I have a problem with describing anything that is not solar/wind/wave/organic related as sustainable).
Until the whole planet is subjected to the same restrictions, such as an EMP burst, there is IMHO little hope.

We all know the dinosaurs died, they are not producing any more fossil fuels.

We can be as conservative as we like but where is our next Fuel Revolution coming from?

I meant to post this a couple of days ago... I guess the next generation of 'would be' chefs might have to invest in tandoor's and proper BBQ's ? (mine is an uncovered, single shelf, charcoal burner type - no good for windy, wet or colder days).

It seems to go against what fracking is trying to achieve by producing more emissions.

All

I have no idea how to ask this question and I have read some posts where there are polls.

What is your favourite starter ?
What is your favourite main dish ?
Do you have a 'desert' dish ?

I have come home tonight and rather than take a keema & spinach or a chicken & chickpea out of the freezer, I have chosen a CTM.  CTM is not an 'on the spot' curry, due to marinading and yet it is my personal choice.  What is yours?
