Talk About Anything Other Than Curry / Re: Trivia

So typical of you, Phil - you can't even just say 'see above' once!
The attitude of you and Livo are bound to put newcomers to the site off. Why would anyone want to post on a site where they are spoken down to by you two?
Livo hasn't even tasted BIR and you hark back to the 60's or something.
If you want to attract debate and new members, keep it buttoned.

The forum is in danger of becoming little more than a dialogue between probably the current two most prolific posters, Phil and Livo. For the rest of us it's so incredibly boring unless, like these two, you enjoy reading absolute drivel.
I couldn't agree more, George. It's like the Waldorf and Statler of BIR.

Wish we had a global moderator who could remove this rubbish.

Tandoori and Tikka / Re: mickdabass' Ultimate Tikka Marinade

Bump for this post as I made a little batch today.
I've never owned a barbecue until about two weeks ago at the request of Mrs Garp, and although this recipe is great on it's own, I finished it off by smoking it in the charcoal barbecue.
I have to say that this raised it a few notches with the resultant charcoal hint of flavour.

By no stretch of the imagination could that be called a paratha - I mean, give us a break.

It doesn't matter if it's "BIR" or not. I'll make this recipe and try it out. Then, after having made it, I might make comment on the end result and where I am, whether it's "BIR" or not won't matter.
This has great potential and I'm eager to give it a go.
I have no issues with it not being BIR; I love traditional/homestyle/whatever you want to call it cooking.
My only issue was with it being advertised as BIR, and being something completely different.
BTW Livo - please observe social distancing and keep at least two metres between my posts and yours
