Balti Dishes / Re: Terry's Chicken Balti

This one sounds good to me and on the similar lines to a Jalfrezi.  I will use more chillies when I make it at the weekend.  Thanks Terry.

Hi,  I believe Pat Chapman has a recipe for Akini  (stock) in one of his books  Not that I'm a fan.  You have very thoroughly thought of almost everything.  What are your fave dishes then and well done for the post!

Hi Layne,

Looks great, good old chillies an all!

Hi Layne,  I eat them raw too but not in curry.  Try them in a cheese sandwich sliced, it's a terrific combination! CQ

Hi Layne,  Pictures look really good!   Chillies on the side of your plate - are they raw?  I normally fry mine off at the beginning in spiced oil and leave them in the curry.  It just takes the bite and rawness out of them.  Well done to you!

Anyone with a good Prawn Ceylon recipe?  For some reason these days bir take-aways where I live tend to make it mild, it always used to be one of the hottest ones a few years ago.  Would appreciate any feedback at all.

Hi bigjack,

Look under curry sauce.  The best to date curry base I have made and it is under the thread A Good Curry Base.  It is excellent and would be a good start for you. CQ

Hi Terry

Made the base last night.  My kitchen smelt like an Indian restaurant.  It is the BEST I have ever made!  Strange how the bi-carb makes the onion base froth!   The all purpose seasoning and the large amount of garlic used are definately the missing  ingredients that have been needed to make this excellent base.  Thankyou so much for posting the base recipe and hope you will stay with us in the future to help.

It's me again,  Sorry, I forgot to ask about the potatoes.  Can they be used to make a dish or do I just throw them away?
