Have finally got around to making this mix up and thanks to George and Abdul i have now cracked it the missing ingredient condensed milk i was trying to make it with water but you need the milk to bind it into a stiff paste

I'm quite happy with my naan breads although they are never going to be as good as BIR without a tandoor oven i think they are alot better than shop bought ones its the filling i need to get right i havn't had ago at it for ages but do hae next week off so will have time to play again need to go to my local and ask them for aa sample of there filling i think

Hi George

The last time i made them i used 2tbsp coconut 1tbsp ground almonds and half tbsp sugar then mixed it with the minimal amount of water to make it into a paste i could work with then used the same method as keema naans to get the filling inside it worked quite well but deos need tweeking

Well Gaza i did make some of you spicy onions but only added 1tsp of hot chilli powder and that was enough to give a nice kick, we don't get anything like them at the curry house i use its the usuall onion salad mint sauce mango  chutney and they have just started doing a tamarind sauce but i will recommend they add these to the list they are very moreish indeed will definitely be using them again top knot ch.

Right have finally done them i did try one in the microwave but didn't seem right so frying is the way forward for me can't believe how quick they cook it was literally in and out within seconds else they would burn any way here's my results.

chicken tikka madras and chicken tikka pathia to wash them down

Hi

Thanks for the advise got stuck in the pub yesterday so didn't get round to cooking them will do them today and let you know how i get on ill try deep frying some and microwaving some to compare which i prefer might stick some picks up aswell.

Hi all

I have bought some ready to cook cumin flavoured poppadoms having never cooked them before do i just heat the oil to about 180 and fry on both sides until golden or do the float once cooked any advice please?

Yes been to asda tesco and sainsbury but can only find granules i was sure i had got some from supermarket before aswell

Hi all
I'm going to give the homemade doner kebab recipe ago tomorrow I've not eaten one in years but son likes them so i thought I'd try it, but I'm struggling to find onion powder in the shop i can find it on line and i can find it in granules in the shop could i use them as a substitute just grind them down? any ideas where i can get onion powder from on line?
