I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO THANK THE ADMIN & ALL THE ACTIVE MEMBERS OF THIS FORUM (YES EVEN THE ONE OR TWO WHO IVE CLASHED WITH !!). ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
THANKS TO THIS SITE & THE PEOPLE MY CURRY COOKING EXPERIENCE HAS GONE FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH & BECOME VERY ENJOYABLE AS MY SUCCESS RATE HAS INCREASED TO THE POINT OF NOT HAVING ANYMORE DISASTER CURRIES. ( "WHAT SHALL I DO WITH THIS BASE ? CANT THROW IT AWAY", YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN  ;D ;D ;D ;D).
I BELIEVE THAT WE ALL WILL GET THERE & BE ABLE TO CONSISTENTLY DO SO.

I am also sooo close & I'm getting closer every time !! ;D ;D The Celery i have not used yet but Will,l I'm off to the supermarket today to get a load of onions .
   Question. Is it 30-35 small cooking onions or large Spanish onions hope its the small ones as Ive got a pot that do the job nicely.

   Anyone doubting the Carrot as an ingredient don't, Curry King`s recipe is the same as the one given to me by my local & we are miles apart, also the peppers & you`ll find this base tastes good on its own & i was also told that you cant copy a resteraunt curry due to the vast amount of ingredients they cant be sad enough to all be telling the same lie .I have great faith in the fact that this web site has 99% of the info we need (time will tell).

Potato goes really well in a curry i put them in with king prawn Vindaloo, you could put in roughly chopped onions, spring onions, red & yellow peppers mmmmm nice curry !!!! ;D ;D ;D

Nice one mark i will try it out with a 15 onion version & cut all the ingredients by 50 % & see what happens, i agree about the Garam Masala it will overpower the other subtle(did i say subtle !!) spices, we all seem to be coming to the same conclusion, with time & patience we all may get 100% clone soon then we`ll have to try other dishes (lasan chicken next ??). ;D ;D ;D ;D

yes i`ve tried tasting raw spices to find out how to achieve the 100% clone, very hard, didint work for me. :(

To put the record straight Dylan i am big but very peacefull & unaggressive, i disagree with violence most strongly ( a real paradox in human form !!! ;) ;) ;) ).And i thought i brought a bit of comic relief to this forum anyhow ( DARTHY gonna cry now booohooobooohooo !! :( :( :( :( ).
                             But lets carry on with this great forum people.
  Does that mean the Chainsaw has to go back now ???? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I`ve had some very good results with KD`s base sauce 50% there , added smell & little more sweet/sour & it would be 100% right & i`m getting fed up hearing people moaning about curry books use the positive aspects of them to improve your own results, relax !!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

I`ve sent them an e-mail asking for them to post take-away style recipes & a FAQ on curry techniques & spices etc etc to be answered by a take-away chef , you never know  ;D
