Yup, I noticed this too. Sorry to say, but I was browsing recipes and it took so long to load them that I considered looking elsewhere. I came to post and that's where I found this thread.

I also moderate for another forum and we had some big problems with SPAM. It's a big forum. In the end we found the only solution was to introduce a system where firts posts needed to be approved by a moderator, rather than allowing free posting for anyone joining. This system has worked for us, and the admin workload has reduced hugely   

Tried this last weekend....twice!   It was a hit!  Thanks!

Well I suppose this is the place to introduce oneself/yersen  ;D

I'm JalfreziT. I lived a lot of years in the UK, but now live in "Your-Rop", in a tiny village without even a CurryHouse, let alone a kitchen drawer full of delivery menus   

And that's when I discovered Kris' book and started to roll, sorry, "prepare", my own   

Over the last few years I've twisted, tweaked and abused a few recipes. The results haven't always been good, but half the fun is in the journey.

Am looking forward to making a contribution and also talking BIR with others who share the love.
