The Paprika is interesting as some of my closest clones are variations of K Dillon base mix which has the exact savory taste that my local Take-away has but missing that allusive final flavor/smell.

Down here in Cornwall its very hard to get hold of even basic ingredients 
Luckily i can shop online for my spices etc although my local Tesco has been stocking Scotch Bonnets for many years now. ;D

I`ve never used the leaves, perhaps this is the single ingredient i need as my curries are very close.
Although i do believe that the latest base with Carrots green Peppers etc .. is right its just the final tweeking now me thinks .

Try one at a time as i have & sometimes you Will get 100% right , but i think its a combination of ingredients & technique who knows ?? 
.
Asafoetida is very strong (i`ve got the Bart one too !!).Use only a small amount in a single curry, unless of course the take-away`s use loads to achieve that smell you never know .

I have to be honest i`ve not got it 100% right all the time only every now & again which is quite frustrating But some of my friend prefer my curries to take-away so its not all negative. ;D ;D
