Many thanks, RD. Can't think how I missed that - be something age-related, no doubt! :)

Oh! Now you're putting me off!  ;)

Just kidding, but actually, it's a tenner dearer now than it was a year ago. Also, there appears to be a direct replacement model rebadged as a Tefal with 10g less capacity for around 20 quid.

May have to have a rethink now...

I'm astounded! Job creation at it's most ingenious!  :(

Haha! The unanticipated belly-laugh caught me out! :)

Thanks to both SD and RD - the Krups it is then.

Well, SD, did it blow up after 6 months - or is it still going strong? :)

I'm looking for a suitable machine just now, so, almost a year on from initial ownership, would you recommend the Krups grinder?

Just a thought, RD, but what about individually wrapping a number of individual raw bhajis in a piece of clingfilm and then bagging them up in a large ziploc bag before freezing them? That way you would have any number of fresh bhajis ready for the fryer once you defrosted them.

I know what you said about the hassle of digging out the oil and heating it up just for a couple of mouthfuls, but you would have the inconvenience of getting the oven and/or grill and/or microwave going anyway - it may be worth considering if you want to avoid sogginess and save on the washing up.

my one remaining chilli plant has been put into  a heated garden room / conservatory over the winter & has continued to grow / flower - I pollinated the flowers using a kiddies paint brush & they are showing signs of chillis forming!

Nice one! Good luck with this year's crop! :)

I think that would be the best policy.

Try as I might, I can't find any trace of a "Taste of India" T/A in Bargeddie, Bargeddie itself is in North Lanarkshire anyway, not Glasgow, the OP has made a couple of revisions to the base gravy recipe "that should not be changed" and last, but not least, the OP has baled out to the other forum.

The recipes suit some and not others - what's the problem? I can't see any reason to get het up over it.

Please put this subject to bed, Stew, and maybe the forum can settle down a bit.

Looks perfect, BS! What could be better than sitting down in the sunshine to a naan and chicken tikka with a chilled beer to wash it all down? Jealousy reigns! :)

We've just had a massive hailstorm and the lightning that just broke overhead shut everything electrical down! I think I'll just eat my pulled pork sandwich indoors!

Ceylon / Re: Chicken Ceylon with Taz Base

Looks excellent, Stephen! I've only tried Abdul Mohed and CA's Ceylon and I haven't got around to trying the Taz base at all. Something I must rectify.
