Hi I've only been a memeber of the site for about 5 days now and I keep seeing a ? in front of ingredients, what exactly does it mean?

For instance I'm going to make a batch of Curry Base by onion.(the member lol)
it says "? pint oil"
What would this mean?

I've also seen it used in other recipes, ie. ?tsp , ?tbsp , ?dessert spoon.
I'd appreciate any help on this to help me understand a little bit more.

I made the Chicken Tikka Masala according to this recipe(near enough lol). https://curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=1562.0

I did however left out these things.
Almond Powder (didn't have any)
Coconut Milk Powder & Desiccated Coconut & Creamed Coconut Block (don't like coconut)
Evaporated Milk (forgot to buy it lol)

I made the Chicken Tikka/Tandoori first https://curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.phptopic=1826.0 , then followed the recipe missing out the things listed above.

Here is a photo of the Chicken Tikka Masala in the pot cooking.

And here is the finished Tikka Masala on One of the plates ready to be eaten.

This was the best ever Chicken Tikka Masala I've had so I'm not even going to bother trying any other Tikka Masala recipes.I'm extremely happy with this one. ;D ;D ;D

Pictures of Your Curries / Tandoori Chicken
May 10, 2007, 01:51 AM
Hi all, I made this tonight using this recipe https://curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=1555.msg13736#msg13736

However mines did not turn as red as cory ander's photos.
I wish it did though cause I love the red colour in my Take away Tandoori chicken.
It still tasted the business though, all my family enjoyed it.

Here's some photos taken through the process.

This is the chicken in the marinade after 12 hours in the fridge.

This is the chicken on the skewers ready to be put in the oven as I don't have a BBQ.

Here is some Tandoori chicken on a plate ready for my kids to eat.
The rest went into a Chicken Tikka Masala. (see link at bottom for the Tikka Masala I also made)

Here's photos of my first attempt at Darthphall's Curry Base and Madras.
I followed the recipe exept for the chilli powder.(The schwartz HOT curry powder would be enough for the wife. ;D)

Here's everything chopped and put in the pot.

I then made the Madras according to Darth's recipe, once again forgeting the chilli.

Sorry, I forgot to take a photo of the finished Madras in the pot.

Hi people, great forum.

After many mouthwatering hours reading these forums I've decided to try Darths Madras 100% Clone recipe.
I dabble with the spices and foods I like personally but this will be the first recipe I have followed to the letter.
