Cheers Salvador. Thanks for the help!

The green chilli pickle is that made by Pataks? Managed to get the other ones - I got a supermarket jar of green chillies in brine, would that be okay or just leave it out? Mince them?

Made this for my tea today - beautiful curry! I should have taken a picture but I was starving. Thanks for the video.

Quoteplus cherry tomato taste bombs too

Ha! Great description - they really suck up the flavour and explode in your mouth  :)

I think I'll attempt the Pudina Murgh next.

Thanks for the comments! Good encouragement for this amateur cook.

My 5th attempt at a Jhal Frezi using Chewytikka's video.

Made some very minor alterations.

  • Used a half chef spoon of oil
  • Put tomato dilute in before curry powder - like to have some liquid to slosh it around in
  • Used three ladles of curry base rather than one as I like a bit more mass :-)

The flavours in this one were fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Went to the store in Bellshill today. Nice store with lots of spices, pastes etc and small grocers and halal butchers. Managed to source the patak pastes I was having trouble getting a hold of and get a fairly hefty jar of G and G paste. I'll definitely be back!

Ah I see it on google street view now. I'll definitely check that shop out, may be easier to get parked than in Glasgow. Cheers!
