There is certainly a wealth of information on here Rich. For me, the problem is that sometimes (not all the time) you have to wade through a fair bit of junk to get to that information.

Seeing as the "other" site is just a baby in comparison to this one, in time, it will become the number 1 site for people serious about cooking BIR at home.

I can see the appeal of this place, as you can have a laff, and get side- tracked with other stuff too, which is fine. The other forum owner simply wants a site that is as close to 100% BIR related info as is possible. It's beyond my comprehension why people can't see/appreciate that.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the owner asks for NO donations, he has NO advertisng, stands for NO crap. He is passionate about forwarding the BIR cause for all who wish to benefit.

I have learned so much from this site, and when i went into my own BIR business, i freely shared all that I had learned, to try and give something back. Some of my posts were ridiculed, others were largely ignored. No problems with that, unless the ridiculers are people that have contributed absolutely NOTHING............and guess what...........most of them were of that ilk.  :

The point I was trying to make was that there are only a few people on this site that actually contribute anything worthwhile, and to those people I am eternally grateful.

Then there are the silent majority that are here to learn....no problems with that at all.

My problem is with the "very small" minority that constantly seem to want to cause friction, and most of this minority have given very little to this forum. No names to be mentioned, but I'm sure most sensible users of this forum know who they are.

On a certain other forum, such behavior is not tolerated, and is then ridiculed by this "certain few" on here........................ :
