Just back from holiday in Turkey and brought some back with us. We were told to sprinkle it on salds and it can also be mixed with olive oil and garlic as a marinade for meat on BBQs. (is that true)?

Panpot,
Like everyone else here, thankyou for all the hard work you've put into this.
Can I ask a question, you call for a block of coconut, is that a block as found in the 4 sachet size boxes or a whole box?
Again, thanks for all your work.

Thanks Mick,
So presumably I could use any own brand veg marg then?
Rather than worry about the Eastend one.

Most, (if not all), curry recipes both here and on other sites call fro either green or red chillies.
But which ones, there are literally hundres of fifferent ones to choose from, the small packs as sold in supermarkets or do I need to go to an Indian breengrocer/supermarket?

I contacted the BBC just the other day asking where to find the type used on the Chinese Food made easy programme, unfortunately they decided my query was not worth answering and all I got was a bog standard reponse saying due to the volume of questions they receive they were unable to let me know.
