new update,

they are growing really well now, I have to bring some out during the day to maximize the little sunshine we are getting.. Im waiting for them to change colour now, should be within the nest week or 2.



Sweet Peppers are coming along.


Cayenne chillis.. waiting for them to ripen


more Cayenne with some Jalopenos in there somehere


some Scotch Bonnets, Bhuta Jolkia and some naga Morish..

thanks for the tips guys, my wife suggested the "pat a cake trick" i will give that a go.. but the 90 degree rolling tip is where im probably going wrong..

has anyone got any tips about rolling dough for chapattis and naans, i can roll any shape imaginable except round and teardrop lol, if anyone could help a misshaped chapatti maker it would be appreciated..

Jerry, I`ve done this base a couple of times and its a very spicy base, good for hotter dishes but if you have mild curry lovers in the house like me then its too spicy, next time Im going to leave the chilli powder out and add that to the main dish, I did notice it was a grainy base, even after its been frozen then thaw`d I have to give it a 2nd zap in the liquidizer  and add more stock. I didn't notice any considerable after taste of garlic... but my wife would be the best one to ask...

hi 976, I tried out this recipe the other night with CA`s base and as I was slicing the garlic I was thinking "this is way too much" and cooking it I thought the same, but I was very surprised that the final dish wasn't overpowered  by garlic, in fact it brought out he taste of the chicken tikka, this will be one curry I will be cooking again.. and what made it more special is that this is the first curry I cooked with 2 of my home grown chillies.

Hi redhot.. welcome to a feast of recipes... I agree with razor,  try CA`s base and madras how the recipe was laid out the after time alter to your taste..  you cant go wrong with CA`s recipes.. but do have a crack at the other recipes too as they are all top notch.
