i`ve done stews base and i myself used a 400gram tin of chopped tomatoes,and it is a very nice curry base and make a nice curry too.hope this helps you good luck

just to let you know i done your base sauce yesterday,i made a beef and vegetable mild curry with it for the family and a few friends and they all loved it.cheers mate

congratulations vindalooo i`m glad it was a success for you,i was like it when i first done darthphalls base sauce and his curry recipes and when people turned and said to me how nice it was it made proud of myself thanks to the members on this forum.

they also use chicken aswell,about 3 years ago a mate of mine went to jamaica with his family and they had a jamaican curry,he told me they had chicken,pineapple and a few other fruits in it and they said it was the best curry they tasted.

i just had a look in a indian cook book and it says that popadoms done in a restaurant may be cooked several hours in advance and warmed just before serving.another way they do it is placing the cooked popadoms in a warm oven will of course be just as effective. hope this helps.

good work vindalooo can`t wait for this recipe so i can try it.
why is it when we all ask a indian chef for recipes,hints and tips they help you with out a problem. and yet if you ask a chinese chef for help they don`t  want to know you why is that.
i`ve been going to this local chinese takeaway for 10 years now i know the family very well and when i asked them how they done certain dishes they blanked me out completely has if i was`nt there.

hi chiz, their is another recipe you can try by mike travis i tried it and it`s perfect.
go into the chinese restaurant recipes and look for chicken fried rice chinese style by mike travis it also got a picture of the dish.
for a egg fried rice just leave the chicken out.try it and let us know how you got on.
