Trainee Chefs / Beginners Questions / Korma
June 19, 2015, 04:26 PM
first time making Chicken Korma and I combined two recipes and end result not to my liking as non of the recipes called for Coconut.
As I tend to cook by taste I then added more ginger and then added coconut and ground almonds.
The original recipes it was Cashew nuts which I did add but felt Almonds gave it the bite as does the coconut.
First time using a base Curry as well and some of the family hate onions but scoffed the Korma

I have been making my own Curries for years now although more Chinese than Indian.
Bought a good many spices few months ago to go with my new kitchen and spice rack which my husband built for me and then made my own Chicken Tikka Masala just by using my taste buds.

I also make a lovely African sweet and hot Beef Curry.
I would like to get the hang of Indian cooking and the recipes as all the family loved the Masala I made.
Looking to make a nice creamy Korma as my next challenge.

Nice to meet new people :)
