I've not been cooking BIR for a couple of years but am back again.

Having never really liked shop-bought Garam Masala (too much cinnamon or something) I am interested to know if anyone thinks they have the perfect GM recipe and is happy to share it,

Cheers,

Pete.

Hello all,
can't exactly remember when i had my first BIR curry, but i guess that it was about 1982 and i have loved them ever since.
Over the following years i have cooked a few traditional Indian recipes and they where quite nice, but it was always the BIR curry/takeaway that i wanted to (and could not for the life of me) replicate.
I remember several years ago when i found Kris Dillon's the "Curry Secret", i thought that i had found the Holy Grail, lol.
Now don't get me wrong, when i made my first curry base and tried Kris's recipes, the taste and texture was far better than i had achieved with anything that had gone before and i was well impressed, but over time i had to admit that this really wasn't true BIR curry (well not in my mind at least) and so basically gave up on the idea of ever being able to come close to achieving the goal.
Then the other day i stumbled across this site and thought,...... this looks pretty good!......had a mooch around......and decided to give it another go.

So far i like the look of everything I've seen, however i think i might try Cory Ander's base and recipes to kick things off with and take it from there......is that a Grail i can see on the horizon!!! ;D
