That looks fantastic. You should post your recipe if you have the time. What base did you use and did you do anything special with the rice or is it just coloured?

Like how you've sneaked a can of Special Brew in there!  ;)

My fellow curry head friend says that beer should always be drunk during the cooking of a curry, IMHO I agree totally!  ;D

The base was from my curry head friend, and I've lost the recipe, sorry. I think it was very similar to Taz's base, except I remember adding swede, which made it a little too vegetable flavoured, was usuable though.

The cooking water for the rice had 1 tsp of Tumeric.

Do you know of any wines that go well with a curry?

I agree beer should always be drunk whilst cooking a curry. But that on your table mate is closer to being rocket fuel than beer :o ;D

Hee hee Moonster, yes it is like rocket fuel! Goes very well with Westons Special Reserve Cider, rocket fuel from apples!  ;D

I'm afraid I don't. Not really a wine drinker - more of a lager man myself. Others may be able to offer advice though.

Has anyone ever tried the Carlsberg Elephant Brew? I used to get it in my local Naffi when I was in the army but never see it for sale commercially.....
