And I'm convinced that eating chilli is one thing that has kept me slim. And the health benefits of that outweigh the dementia worry. YMMV.

I'll buy into that, also if you grow your own chilli's you get more benefit, enjoyment, and mental exercise by having to remember to feed them

50 grams of chilli a day....I like chilli dishes (curry included) and I like them hot but 50g a day would be significantly more than I think i would eat in a day
