Well there was a replay of Rick Stein on last night and I have realised that I never ever saw episode 1.  I have to try the hole in the wall Prawn Cutlets pretty soon, and the Curried Boiled Eggs, but the BBRC simply couldn't wait.

I have the impression that it's a bit over - done up there, but I'd never tried it so I made it pretty much to spec this afternoon, 50/50 Garam Masala / Kitchen King Masala instead of all GM and reduced quantity of sultanas.  I did all the prep using my pressure cooker on saut

Hi Livo,

I have been thinking about getting a pressure cooker for making curries for a while and I see you use an electric one with different programmes. Can you recommend a particular make and are they the results worth the expense? The BBRC sounds very nice by the way.

Mine is a Ronson which I paid $70 Aud for half price about 2 years ago. It has 8 functions and is pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker etc, which has saute function, keep warm, curry mode. I love it.

Unless your in Australia, you'll be getting a different brand, but yeah, go for it.  I use mine all the time.

In England mate, the one you have isn't available but other makes are. Like the look of the Instant pot from USA but they're a bit pricey :(

That's a good spec Naga. I wonder what pressure it achieves as a pressure cooker, as some electric pressure cookers are lower pressured than a "real" hob top pressure cooker.
