« on: October 11, 2011, 07:34 PM »
Hi ..im a new poster so apologies if this is a thread elsewhere ....
I would recommend Badgers Golden Glory , Golden Champion , Shepherds Neame MasterBrew and any Banana Beer to go with curries ...to that end i am busy investigating as many Real Ales / Wheat Beers as i can ..its a hard job ..but someones got to do it :  )
Oh and also Kronenbourg Blanc ..but it seems to have disappeared for some reason ...

Hi curryjihad get an app called pintley, i have it for android phone, it lists ALL beers and allows you to put your own reviews and comments on each beer/ale/lager you try.
Its a great app.
Have quite a big list of beers and ales to drink with curries at the moment, but still in the making.
Will post a list soon.

My very own Waggldance clone goes well with a milder curry like a Tikka massala.
Best Beer for Curry

But for a hotter curry it would have to be my Breferm Diabolo @ 8% abv

And a superb drop of beer that looks too  ;D.  I'll stay with my Leffe Blonde at 65p a bottle - a lot less hassle but it is nice to enjoy the fruits of one's own labour :D

Gary Wallace and Wyatt Donnelly accomplished it in 1985, if my memory serves me correctly; odd they were never nominated for a Nobel Peace prize for their remarkable achievement ...

i was in a restaurant years ago, I was reminded(not by anyone connected with the place) that alcohol & Indian food "do not mix" & was told to try a yogurt/salt/sugar/ice drink called lassi instead. Being Glaswegian, I declined immediately & ordered a pint of Lal Toofan Indian lager. It was the only Indian lager they had at the time, but I remember it not being overly gassy, like the Cobra, which is everywhere now. I tend to buy ales in the colder months, McEwans Champion Ale was on I tried last year....says 'award winning' on the label & at 7.8% I wouldnt like to have been at that awards ceremony...but surprisingly drinkable with curry

The perfect woman - dressed in white to match the kitchen appliances small feet so she can stand closer to the kitchen sink about 5 feet tall with a flat head so you can stand your pint on - cant think of anymore without getting killed by the wife!!

Just had a look at your site Jim boy! that may be something i will be trying in the future!

best, Rich
