Am partial to the old jalfrezi and that looks lovely to me CH, no gravy issues this time then eh?, looks to me as though you've used less oil which may have contributed to the issue yesterday possibly?.
Yummy

It's a little beauty, and yes W i cut the oil back to only a couple of tbs although the recipe recommended 3 - 4. I am very happy with the results, damn good recipe Mick, and happier still that i will be able to make some good curries with my 10 ltrs of base ;D

Jalfrezi is such a fine tasting curry and a great one to have at your disposal. I went through a phase of always making Jalfrezi with Taz base and was never disappointed in the results.

That's a superb looking Vindaloo, CBM!
Quick question: are those 3 very large pieces of chicken in the photo? OK, it's only a photo, but they do look soft, juicy, tender. Do you pre-cook them?

Having enjoyed CBM's jalfrezi recipe so much the other day I decided to give it another go but this time with lamb. There was an alterior motive though :
I just needed to sense check my cooking with Julian's base to make sure my chicken jalfrezi wasn't a one off
. Result:
Another execllent result. Full of complex flavours and succulent lamb. I licked the plate clean

Cheers Bob. It left me licking my lips and that wasn't due to the heat either ;D. Next up has got to be the Zaal phall again with bhaji oil
. That'll be interesting. Will it be deja vu or a breakthrough. Of course, i'll keep you all posted
