Yep. I normally use it within a couple of weeks but I'm sure it would last longer.

it's no good for garnish but spot on for adding after the base has gone in.

i chop it before freezing and try to keep it frozen until it goes in the pan otherwise it goes very mushy.

Much experimentation here!  Freeze it in small bunches, whole, and JUST before you need it - chop up the (finer) stalks and add it str8 to the pot, immediately b4 serving.

Not quite as good as fresh, but IMHO the best way; having tried all sorts of methods!

Thanks, I thought I could. I bought 4 bunches the other day and I don`t want to waste it.

You might be better pulling the stalks and drying it in an oven. I agree with Jerry it's fine for base use but for anything else the actual taste will be reduced.

forgot - cut off the stalks root & all and freeze these too for putting in the base (for me a key ingredient).

I planted a couple of growing bunches from the supermarket in a planter on the patio. It grew really well and kept me in fresh coriander for a couple of months until is started flowering. I'm sure a nice window box in a warm kitchen would keep it growing throughout winter. I've not tried but I'll probably give it a go next time I buy a load.

The last two bunches I have bought ( from Asda ) I just took the rubber band off which holds it together and opened up the bunch to give it some air , I just keep it in the fridge in a polythene bag and this is the third week I've had it and it still looks fine.
