Tonight's Dinner: King Prawn Jalfrezi

Recently, my Friday night curries have been locked into CA's Chicken Ceylon recipe with Chewy's poached chicken breast and a bit of added heat. It's a recipe I really like, and so do the rest of the curry-eating household.

Looks great Naga, havent tried Micks Jalfrezi but I will take a look at it as I do love a Jalfrezi and make them quite often.
Got to love Abdul's mix powder and the jb base combo  :)

Cheers, MA! Aye, although I use one-off mix powders when called for by (mainly) trad-style dishes, I think I'm pretty settled on JB's base & Abdul's mix powder for my usual BIR fare.

I have a wife who would argue that quite vigorously   :)


And I think the jalfrezi looks nice. I need to stock up on some King Prawns  :(

Aye, Gav, the Chicken Ceylon is a nice recipe on its own, but its also quite flexible. Adding some more chilli heat, or pickle etc. certainly changes the taste/consistency without ruining the original dish.

Re the king prawns, I looked at frozen prawns in the big supermarkets but baulked at the prices. Then I popped into Aldi and saw they were doing frozen raw or cooked king prawns for
