Apologies, SR, I knew there had been a recent post with a Dhansak recipe which looked lovely, but I didn't make the connection between this one and the last (or was too lazy to look).
Anyway, I'm a bit scared of cooking lentils, but once I pluck up the courage to try not to turn them to mush, I will be trying this (might be a few months at the rate I work).
As for the Carling? I may not be able to identify a curry, but can spot a beer from 200 yards
