Hi SS this is just my opinion or the way I cook a Bhuna, you don't need to add lemon or the corriander paste if it's not to your taste.
It makes just like standard Bhuna without the added paste

that's prob what your after I guess ?
That's why the tittle reads littlechilie's Bhuna as it's my representation of the classic dish, hope this helps so just leave out the added paste and you will be were your comfort zone is regarding taste.
Just add fresh chopped green chillies and fresh coriander in place
