Hi, I'm Poppadom Pete from Preston. New member of this forum. My first BIR curry was on 16 August 1965, my 17th birthday. It was at the Kismet Restaurant, Derby Street, Preston (sadly no longer trading). Just a plain and simple chicken curry - but I was hooked !!!
Ever since then I've been trying (UNSUCCESSFULLY) to recreate the flavour and tastes. Hopefully, now that I've found this site, I may start to improve. There's a heck of a lot to read and take in, but .....here we go !!!
Best wishes all, Poppadom Pete

Love the name Pete. Welcome. There's no "may" about it mate. You're about to surprise yourself on the quality of food you'll be able to cook ;D The only downside is you'll be your own worst critic ;D Plenty of good cooks on here willing to help if needed.
