The Home Tandoor Recap

After the two threads recently posted on the 90 quid tandoor from spices of india, i decided to put on my detective Dee hat and do some investigating.  :)

It seemed to me that this price was way over the top for what it is and prompted me to find some cheaper alternatives for the good people of this forum. Is it down to the design of the cut-outs/ pattern of holes used or is it simply the fact that there is water placed in the bottom that makes this possible to use indoors?

The aluminium version i posted in the other thread shows that the design might not be as important as claimed. That particular model is offered for between

Thanks Frank for keeping me lazy and providing a nice summary of these gadgets. I feel better educated now, but I feel also that it comes down to: get a tandoori for the right results.
